The Department of Environment and Climate Change (DECC) is pleased to notify that the establishment and operation of veneer manufacturing plants (provided electrical equipment/technology from renewable energy sources is used and does not involve the use of chemicals and adhesives), is hereafter classified under the "Green Category" in the Project Categorization 2025, and henceforth is exempted from the requirement of obtaining an Environmental Clearance (EC).
