The National Ozone Unit of the National Environment Commission Secretariat is conducting training workshop for the enforcement agencies under the Montreal Protocol from 6-7 December 2021 at Institute for Management Studies, Thimphu.
The training workshop is being attended by participants from key stakheholders such as the Department of Revenue and Customs, Department of Industry, Royal Bhutan Police and officials from TTI and the NECS.
This training workshop is crucial to bring together all the key stakeholders to understand and address the issues and challenges in the implementation of the Montreal Protocol including the Kigali Amendment. Since these stakeholders play an important role in the implementation of Montreal Protocol, this training program would enable Bhutan to comply with country's obligation to successfully phase out the consumption of HCFCs and implement the Kigali Amendment.
