The Water Resources Coordination Division is conducting a training workshop on Unit IV –Sediment Transport– from July 25-29, 2022 in Thimphu, as a part of the project titled ‘Study on Minimum Environmental (E) Flow for Hydropower Projects in Bhutan- Final Phase’. Of the nine units under the draft E-flow module, so far we have successfully completed Unit I, Unit II, Unit III and some portions of Unit V, VI and VIII.

As a part of the E-Flow project, the Water Resources Coordination Division of National
Environment Commission Secretariat carried out hands-on demonstration on the E-flow
equipment at Thimphu from July 14 -22, 2022.

The Water Resources Coordination Division (WRCD), National Environment Commission Secretariat (NECS) is conducting the stakeholder consultation meeting for validation of the Bachelor's of Engineering in Water Resources Engineering programme from July 11-12, 2022 in Thimphu.

To improve the EC service delivery, the EACD with support from the ICT services has developed an online Feedback platform for Environmental Clearance service delivery.

The National Environment Commission Secretariat (NECS) is pleased to announce that a EC Service Delivery Help Desk is being instituted within the Environment Assessment and Compliance Division of NECS. Therefore, all our valued applicants are urged to kindly avail the service of the Help Desk for any enquiries related to EC service delivery and environmental assessment process.
